It's never too early to think about what you want to do once you've turned 16. Remember you need to be in education or training until you're 18! Luckily, there are so many options these days, from further education study, including vocational and academic courses, Alternatives, like the Duke of Edinburgh scheme, apprenticeships and traineeships.

Apprenticeships and Traineeships:

 

A traineeship is a course with work experience that gets you ready for work or an apprenticeship. It can last from 6 weeks up to 1 year, though most traineeships last for less than 6 months.

Apprenticeships combine practical training in a job with study.
